Αφιέρωσε τη ζωή της στη συγγραφή πολυάριθμων έργων για την Κρήτη, για την ελληνική Ιστορία, για το θέατρο και προπάντων για τον Νίκο Καζαντζάκη. Έδωσε δεκάδες διαλέξεις για τον μεγάλο Κρητικό, στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Υπήρξε δωρήτρια του Μουσείου Νίκου Καζαντζάκη και γραμματέας του διοικητικού του συμβουλίου. Χρημάτισε επί σειρά ετών πρόεδρος του Ελληνικού Τμήματος της Διεθνούς Εταιρείας Φίλων Νίκου Καζαντζάκη.
