Το γνωστότερο ποίημά της, που έγινε δημοφιλές και μεταξύ των Ελληνοκυπρίων, είναι το «Η δική μου η πατρίδα», το οποίο έχει μεταφραστεί στα Ελληνικά από την Έλλη Παιονίδου και έχει μελοποιηθεί από τον μουσικοσυνθέτη Μάριο Τόκα και έγινε σύμβολο της κοινής επιθυμίας Ελληνοκυπρίων και Τουρκοκυπρίων για μια ενωμένη πατρίδα.
